2013 -The year of citizen science

Citizen Science is the involvement of volunteers in science.  In the UK there is a strong tradition of volunteers and interest groups involved in scientific discovery.
This year has been designated as the year of citizen science to draw attention to this very important aspect of scientific research and encourage more people to get involved.
Why not get immersed in such a project yourself?

Examples of projects-
” UK Ladybird survey
” Weather observation
” OPAL Bugs Count Survey
” Conker Tree Science
” Recording Invasive Species Counts
” UK Mammal Atlas
